Hopefully this is better than last year’s animation attempt, also for Netflix.
The awesome Resident Evil adaptation is still waiting for you. Fans had two attempts last year, but neither the animated series in the ranks of Netflix nor the new movie adaptation have been able to provide us with truly forgettable entertainment. However, in July of this year, we will get a third release that may be able to finally break this negative streak.
Netflix has announced that the live Resident Evil series, with Andrew Dabb from there, will be presenter, writer, and executive producer on July 14, 2022. Actors in the series include Lance Riddick, Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Sienna Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paula Nunez, Ahad Raza Mir, Conor Gusati and Turlo Confrey.
The story will take place on two planes, in 2036 and 1422 14 years ago – while the Umbrella Corporation virus is on the verge of eradicating it, it has completely wiped out humanity in the future. The series focuses on the characters Jade Wesker and Billie Wesker.
The trailer for the project hasn’t arrived yet, but we’ll definitely get it soon.
