Sometimes you don’t even notice what you’re doing in your sleep. Pokemon Sleep helps even those who don’t like Pokemon anyway.

21.07.2023 – Although it was only a few days ago, the mobile sleep monitoring app Pokémon Sleep is now available in most regions around the world. Although it could have been tried in some countries for a long time, it has only reached us now. People are just beginning to discover what the app can do, but a lot of interesting new things have already been revealed, which may be funny to you.

But how does Pokémon Sleep track your sleep?

Well, if you find it difficult to wake up in the morning, or if your morning routine is boring, then you should download Pokémon Sleep. It’s very easy to use: you put your smartphone next to your pillow and you go to sleep. The app records and measures your sleep. The longer you sleep, the higher your score and the more Pokémon will appear around Snorlax.

Pokemon Sleep uses your phone’s accelerometer or MEMS-based accelerometer sensors to track your sleep. The accelerometer is a new technology that is integrated into all new generation smartphones and combines mechanical and electrical components.

The system also measures continuous motion, such as tilts and vibrations. These forces act on the device in three axes, the x, y, and z axes, in meters per second squared (m/s2). This is one of the reasons why you should put your phone face down next to your pillow.

Pokemon Sleep is very similar to other sleep monitoring apps, the only difference is that you can see what Pokemon are sleeping with you.

Well, now comes the trick – registration

The fact is that even the slightest movement activates the accelerometer in the phone. If your dog, cat, or person you sleep with moves, it will activate. The app is also able to record sounds during sleep, such as yawning, nocturnal purring, or even snoring.

the GamesRadar He also discovered that some players online are already sharing videos of what Pokémon Sleep records while they sleep. Some of these things anyone would expect, such as yawning, loud coughing, cats knocking on things in the room, or rolling over. But it also means that some inappropriate sounds are being recorded.

However, the app only keeps these recordings for 24 hours, or until you fall asleep again, so your vomit doesn’t end up in a digital cloud forever. I mean, maybe not. Who knows what you got when you accepted the terms of use, right? Maybe these sounds are being recorded somewhere for future use in Pokemon games? (Probably not.) In the application, of course, it is possible to turn off the audio recording.

Have you tried the app yet?
