In a few days, a new generation update will arrive for one, if not the best game of all time, which will make the already perfect program even more awesome.
We’ll just have to wait a little over two weeks for Geralt of Rivia’s renewed return, because on December 14th it’ll finally arrive on the latest generation of consoles. To be more precise: until now it was possible to play The Witcher 3 without any problems even on new hardware, but soon you will receive the long-announced new generation update, which will make the already perfect software even more perfect in it. Many ways.
Everything will be here, as in farewell:
- Ray tracing
- New camera view
- HD materials
- Many, many frames per second
- Netflix Referrals
- PS5 DualSense Haptic Feedback
- and much more.
So there’s a lot to be excited about, because if there’s ever a game worth picking more than once, especially if it’s better, it’s the third time coming from Vaják. Let’s say this wasn’t a hitch on PC, since the modding communities have been actively expanding and beautifying The Witcher 3 since 2015, but that’s partly why the official next-gen upgrade is exciting.
CDPR included the best depositors in the business, i.e. they vetted the best to include in the December update. Of course, this is not yet a guarantee that the end result will be exactly the same as it will be on the RTX 4090 after installing 100 mods, but it can be pretty close. We were able to see this already during the first trailer, and although the difference between the original and the new generation Vaják does not seem so great at first, the changes look good when placed next to each other.
The first and most obvious is that the vegetation changes completely. In the next generation, it’s much more intense than before, in fact, it looks more realistic in some areas. Obviously, the other important innovation is ray tracing, which adds a whole new filter to the game. The lights look more lifelike, and the surfaces — whether they’re metal, stone, or wood — look more lifelike, which is made even better by the high-resolution textures. The change of the water surface is also due to ray tracing, which has a great reflectivity.
A smaller but no less important change is the new camera display. This will be an optional option, so those who loved the original can still play the game as is, however, the new camera mode can provide a more modern, cinematic experience during gameplay by bringing it closer to our favorite buttercream. There will also be a photo mode, which will work very similarly to Cyberpunk 2077, so the internet will soon be flooded with countless great The Witcher 3 images.
And since that’s not all the new features of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-gen update, it’s worth watching the comparison video below, where you can enjoy the original and new Geralt crush side by side. yes! The update for those who have the game in any form, digital or disc,
On December 14th, you will get the update completely free.
