We wouldn't really be in the shoes of a No Man's Sky player who lost over 600 hours of saves due to a known bug a few days ago.
10/29/2024 – It's happened to everyone, and few people handle it well, when a game suddenly decides to delete itself from existence. I'm not denying why, but there were one or two games – otherwise they were great – that I didn't finish because of this, so maybe I'm not alone I guess.
Well, I wouldn't be the gamer who lost over 600 hours of gameplay in the cosmic-sized No Man's Sky. Keyboard flies off, controller breaks, complete brain problem. Instead, our hero immediately reached out to the Hello Games team to ask them to do something about the bug that led to him losing his save, and in any case, several people have already reported the current problem. Well, if they're really into it and they're in it, let them get back 611 lost hours of hip-hop.
no more! – With an exclamation mark, the developers also indicated to the player who visited the pore that they would immediately continue working and not let almost 25 days of progress go to waste. Event after event: We were finally able to remedy the situation, thus saving the fragile mental world of many, many No Man's Sky players, who would soon be banished to Brimstone Hell if they lost a saved job.
But the most surprising thing is not this, but what the hero programmer of the science fiction infinite engine, Martin Griffiths, noticed on the sidelines of the case: 611 hours of wasted gameplay when that's not actually the most amount of lost progress in No Man's Sky – hopefully it's almost that. According to the developer, the tech team also received a bug report containing 4,000 hours of lost gameplay. However, it was not discussed whether he was saved.
Here's a video of over 600 hours of preservation that showed the terrible flash. I corrected the problem and sent the fix. pic.twitter.com/3b6ut3c9wx
