Motorola’s foldable phone does something like no other.
Back in March, Motorola confirmed that it would add another device to its line of foldable Razr smartphones, which became a reality in international distribution only in June when the Razr 40 Ultra, shown here at 460,000 HUF, hit stores.
The new one, which has a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and 8/12 GB of memory depending on storage location, is called the Razr Plus in the US, and it recently arrived to stress test king Zack Nelson (JerryRigEverything), who managed to completely surprise him.
In the YouTuber’s test with nearly 8 million subscribers, Motorola’s savior bled in a way that not even the famous Nelson had encountered: When the mobile phone was bent in the opposite direction, it wasn’t the flexible central screen or the bezel that gave way, but the Gorilla Glass Victus covering the back panel broke into fragments. The surprising scene can be seen from 6:05:
During an intensive investigation, it was revealed that the cause of the anomaly was a hollow fragment hidden behind the rear glass, because of which the videographer’s finger could easily press on the outer casing of an expensive smartphone. So the lesson is that if you decide to buy the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, you have to be careful with the back panel.
However, the manufacturer under Lenovo’s wings isn’t the only foldable phone that has recently caused a stir in a Nielsen test. Two weeks ago, Google’s new Pixel Fold also passed through the channel, which proved particularly vulnerable against bending.
