Martial artists from the first division of A Klub Budapesti Kempo SE passed another important test of strength. In the past few weeks, combat athletes have taken to the tatami first for the 5th Matra Cup and then for the 27th WWSKF Hanshi Cup. The two competitions have in common that Érd’s Kempos produced a fair number of medals and podiums in both.
At the 2023 Matra Cup, Kempo master László Levi’s students finished with eight gold, eight silver and three bronze medals, among which a special mention deserved the role of Mate Mira Eberkeli, who defeated all her opponents in the figure exercise and the armed figure exercise. The semi-event stood, while the G in ground combat and in the C competition walked to the second step of the platform.
In the Hanshi Cup, which also corresponds to the year-end competition, the youngsters added another scoop to their previous performance: the competition brought eleven gold, seven silver and four bronze medals to the city fighters. Máté Míra Eperke excelled this time as well by taking first and second places. In addition, Tamara Tóth-Paróczai’s list of results should also be highlighted: she was able to enjoy the final victory in the form exercise, the semi-stop and ground combat categories, but she took second place in the ground combat and third in the form exercise. Levente Kiss and Gabor Gjuroki also won gold medals in two events.
