McDonald's is removing automated, artificial intelligence-based ordering systems from more than 100 locations in the United States. The system, which uses voice recognition software to process orders, was announced for launch in 2019, according to reports BBC.
McDonald's told franchisees that it would remove the technology from more than 100 restaurants it has tested so far by the end of July, but made clear that this did not mean the end of such systems, according to a trade journal.

IBM, which developed the technology used in restaurants, said it would continue to work with McDonald's in the future.
