The recording, made in the summer of 2021, could be key evidence in the lawsuit against Donald Trump, which was brought against him for improper handling of classified documents.
The footage includes a moment when Donald Trump appears to indicate that he is carrying a classified Pentagon document containing plans to attack Iran.
In the recording, you can also hear the paper rustling, then Donald Trump saying the following to unauthorized ears:
These papers were prepared by the army and given to me. As president, I could have decoded it, but I no longer had the opportunity to do so. So it remains a secret.
After that, Donald Trump and the former president’s advisors started joking about Hillary Clinton. One of her employees said, “Hillary was going to print the whole thing. No, she was going to send it to Anthony Weiner.” They all burst out laughing, A. writes Watchman.
Trump’s voice:
“Look as president I could have declassified it. Now I can’t, you know, but it’s still a secret.”
The employee replies, “Now we have a problem.” pic.twitter.com/ftNqOTnfZn

He pleaded not guilty
Donald Trump pleaded guilty in court earlier this month to charges against him over classified documents stored at his home on Tuesday in Florida.
As we wrote, in a total of 37 counts, former US President Donald Trump is suspected of hiding classified US documents in his home in Florida, for example in the shower and banquet hall, and of lying to the investigating authorities.
According to the indictment, he then tried to prevent the investigation into handling the documents. Donald Trump, who is running for re-election in 2024, has denied guilt.
The special prosecutor appointed by the attorney general to oversee investigations against Donald Trump accuses the former president of, among other things, obstructing the work of judicial bodies, misleading authorities and violating the Espionage Act.
