Prime Minister Viktor Orbán delivered his speech on Saturday in Tusnádfürdő, at the 33rd Summer University of Balvanossi. In his presentation, he addressed the relationship between Hungary and Romania, the Hungarian peace mission, and what was said about it in Brussels.
At the same time, the Prime Minister stated that the Poles are conducting “the most interesting politics in all of Europe”, while the Americans want to make Poland the American center of Europe, and with this the three things in Brussels returned, according to which Hungary, according to him, belongs to the prohibited category.
a Watchman Based on a report by the Associated Press (AP), a British newspaper wrote: Viktor Orban speaks in his presentation of an “Asia-oriented world order,” then stands behind Donald Trump and warns the European Union against the path of “self-destruction,” which unconditionally follows the pro-democracy foreign policy of the United States.
The Associated Press also reported that Viktor Orban says the United States is behind the 2022 bombing of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, which was built to carry gas from Russia to Germany, “describing the act as an act of terrorism, clearly carried out under the direction of the Americans.” The British news agency, citing the Associated Press, said no evidence has been presented to support the claim.
The report notes that Viktor Orban often uses the annual Tusvani meeting in Romania “to signal the ideological direction of his national government and to flout the norms of the European Union bloc – which Hungary joined in 2004.”
According to them, Viktor Orban said on Saturday that Trump's re-election bid aims to “pull the American people from the post-national liberal state to the nation state,” and once again brought up a whole host of conservative tropes that Trump has said. “He is being unfairly punished for being banned from running for election.”
Hungary's prime minister reiterated his anti-immigration stance on Saturday, saying it is not the solution to his country's aging population, according to the Associated Press.
The Guardian also wrote that the EU’s longest-serving leader, Viktor Orbán, “has become a symbol for some conservative populists with his strong opposition to immigration and gay rights, and he has taken a hard line against the Hungarian press, judiciary and government.” The EU has accused him of violating the rule of law and democracy.
