Index – Abroad – Kamala Harris' health status examination

Kamala Harris has revealed her medical reports stating that she is in “excellent health” and ready to run for president. After the revelation, Democratic presidential candidate Donald Trump was accused of lacking transparency because he had not yet provided his own health documents – he wrote BBC.

The vice president claimed that his Republican rival “does not want the American people to see whether he is qualified to be president.” Without revealing Trump's health information, the former president's team responded by saying that his doctor was in “excellent and excellent health.”

The Republican campaign team says their presidential candidate has a “very busy and active campaign schedule” and believes Kamala Harris “does not have the stamina of Donald Trump.”

The Democratic candidate's medical report says that the vice president “has the physical and mental fitness to assume the office of president.” During an April examination, Dr. Joshua Simons found nothing noteworthy in Kamala Harris' medical record, then added that the vice president lives a healthy, active lifestyle.

Regardless, Kamala Harris noted that her family has a history of colon cancer, and she herself suffers from allergies, but she regularly attends annual checkups, including colonoscopies and mammograms. After the medical results were published, a spokesman for his campaign team tweeted: “There you are, Donald Trump!”

Candidates also discuss mental skills

Ahead of a campaign event in North Carolina, Kamala Harris sought to question her rival's mental health and “how far she walks around.” Democrats are questioning Donald Trump's mental fitness, as the Republican campaign did for months while Joe Biden was their opponent.

If re-elected in November, Donald Trump will finish his second term at 82, the oldest president in US history — although he will share that record with Joe Biden, who will be the same age when he leaves office in January.

Under pressure from Democrats, the Republican campaign's communications director, Stephen Cheung, published Donald Trump's medical results after the assassination on his beard.

They all concluded that he was in perfect and excellent health to be president

Stephen Cheung added, then cited a doctor's letter dating back to November 2023, according to which “Donald Trump's physical data were within the normal range, and his cognitive skills were exceptional.”
