Dmitry Medvedev, the former President of Russia, wrote on his social media page that “the ancient borders of our Motherland must be returned” and explained in detail which countries should be re-annexed.
The publication further stated that “Russia liberated Kiev from the nationalists” and that “the time has come for Russia to unite again”. He also touched upon Georgia, that its lands should be united with Russia again, since the state did not exist before 1801. He described Kazakhstan as an artificial country whose population is mostly Russian.
He said he believed it was only a matter of time before “the peoples who made up the Soviet Union” would unite again and that “Russia’s campaign to restore its ancient borders will never end”.
However, the post was only visible for 10 minutes, after which it was deleted.
Oleh Osipov, Medvedev’s advisor, said the account had been hacked. According to the posted screenshots, the post was viewed 2,000 times before it was deleted. Moscow Times.
