Index – Abroad – US Vice President classifies Viktor Orban as “murderers” and “dictators”

On CBS News' Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which was posted on the show's YouTube channel, the host began talking about Harris' Republican opponent and former White House leader, Donald Trump, and spoke fondly of his “close” relationship with Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and Xi. With Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

However, Kamala Harris interrupted him and said about the people mentioned (including the Hungarian Prime Minister):

Tyrants, tyrants and people who can rightfully be called murderers.

He also added: In his opinion, Trump himself wants to become a “dictator” like those he sympathizes with, but the aforementioned leaders are only “playing” with him and exploiting him. Kamala Harris then addressed the allegations made about the relationship between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in the book of American journalist Bob Woodward.

It's not the first time

Viktor Orbán was not mentioned for the first time by the candidates in the campaign. In the presidential candidate debate with Harris, Donald Trump noted that the Hungarian prime minister also said he was the strongest potential candidate, while his opponent was weak. He talked about how Trump, according to Orban, is the “most terrifying person in the world.”

Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, who has only been in legislative work for a year and a half, was chosen by Donald Trump as his vice presidential nominee on July 15, at the Republican convention in Milwaukee. The politician has previously praised Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on a number of issues. He stated that the United States could learn from some of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's decisions, including outsourcing universities to institutions.

Vance, who even defended the Hungarian Prime Minister's close ties with China, asked the question:

Why is Viktor Orban getting closer to China? This is partly because American leadership is not making smart decisions.

Besides Kim Jong Un, the Hungarian prime minister was the only foreign leader mentioned by Trump in his speech at the Republican National Convention. “Hungary is a strong country. It's run by a very strong, strong leader. He's a tough guy. The press doesn't like him because he's strong. Viktor Orban, the prime minister of Hungary, is a very strong person,” the Milwaukee GOP candidate said.
