Never in my life did I think the day would come when I would wake up knowing that the Venom trilogy existed. However, since 2018, Sony has been sweating hard to produce a film series without Spider-Man, and as part of this franchise, the web-weaver's arch enemies like Venom, Morbius or even Madame Web have received spin-offs. Critics were very enthusiastic about these films, and it is no coincidence, because they could be called celluloid trash rather than works of art. True to form, and aiming very low, the film also entered Hungarian cinemas on October 24. Poison – the last journeythat Eddie Brock, played by Tom Hardy, and the big-faced symbiote will once again bite the throats of people who are bigger than scoundrels. I hope this is the last time, because the world doesn't need this iteration of Venom, I can safely say.
The first Venom movie turned out to be a slightly better-than-average superhero adventure that, with the nasty, dark, occasionally violent tone of the early 2000s and Tom Hardy's face, managed to sell the alien monster that way. The way it is Production assembly of 100 It grossed more than $850 million at the box office worldwide. Then the second chapter in 2021 could not even come close to presenting the trilogy in terms of income with 506 million, let alone the story. The script became a complete mess, making it seem as if the plot had been written on the corner of a napkin by writers who had managed to avoid a big showdown between Venom and Veronto (Woody Harrelson).
One would hope that the main character in Venom 3 wouldn't finally fight a similar symbiote, which – let's face it – is starting to get pretty boring. However, rumors about importing Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man turned out to be untrue. Because we are talking about Sony, and in their case it has already been shown a hundred times that they lack creativity.
So we got Knull in Venom 3. But who is Knull, dear reader, you might be wondering. Well, he's the Destroyer of Worlds, the Master of the Symbiotes, a long-haired minion who looks like Arthas from World of Warcraft, and who in Andy Serkis' deeper-than-usual voice promises in the first scene how powerful he is to destroy Earth. Its function has been exhausted to such an extent, because after summoning a poorly designed Thanos, the entity repeating roughly the same three sentences does nothing else. I mean, still. A CGI monster, a type of extraterrestrial tracking device, is unleashed around the necks of Eddie Brock (Hardy) and Venom, which stalks the heroes for 90 minutes.
Kelly Marcel, creator of Venom – The Last Ride, has managed to keep the stakes even lower than the previous two installments.
I don't feel how threatened the planet is, on the contrary, now one boringly designed space dog is hunting down toxins. At Sony, they were able to make me cry again at the evil, poison-loving, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V-set Symbiotes. tragic.
The final part of the trilogy is surprisingly short, a lot could have been cut from Venom 3, all of which can be deduced from the forgettable silent scenes, hanging in the air meaninglessly and meaningless dialogue. She seems to have been very impressed with Clark Bacow's character Sadie Christmas, which she revealed originally He could have been a central character. Compared to this, it's funny how much Venom 3 feels like a tidal wave, and even the single funniest theme, the story of an alien-loving hippie family traveling to Area 51, is over-extended in it, ruining a joke that starts out intentionally abrupt.
When it comes to casting, Sony is still trying to fool its viewers, bringing in familiar faces from the MCU and previous Spider-Man films, like Rhys Ifanst, who previously played Dr. Connors, as the family man, while in the MCU he is in the role of Mordo, Chiwetel Ejiofor is portrayed as a tough soldier in Venom 3. Add to that the fact that portals to MCU dimensions also appear in the movie, obviously so they can be shown in the trailers.
It's ridiculous what Sony is doing to the Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man. There is no better word for it.
Venom 3 has its moments. It's a good idea for the authorities to start hunting down Eddie Brock due to the events of the previous episode, which is why Tom Hardy's character has to go on a road trip with Venom. It's incomprehensible why this topic is so rushed here and there, one moment our heroes are clinging to the side of the plane, the next trying not to drown in the river… It's like watching a sketch show but not the good kind, because the humor is more embarrassing than funny. A horse, a frog, or a fish possessed by poison here or there…
The special effects are still terrible, with the specially assembled symbiotes, led by Venom, looking like the snot we expel from our noses when we have a cold. And while the music sets the mood at times, it's also linked to the biggest bakeries in Venom 3, a singing scene shared with the already mentioned hippie family that had me scratching my face, and a dance move with Mrs. Chen who randomly shows up in Las Vegas (Peggy Lu), is so embarrassing that I don't even dare look there.
Venom 3 piles on awkward moment after awkward moment, because at the end, a big montage featuring one of Maroon 5's best songs puts the finishing touches. I had to laugh here and hope that this terrible trilogy was buried so deep that there would be no machine that could be used to dig it up. Venom 3 is the kind of movie that can't be without its bloopers, and the final big fight scene also lacks any sort of excitement or intrigue. You just yawn at that, but at least you don't complain, as you do for most of the remaining 90 minutes.
Another piece of waste from Sony, neither Spider-Man nor any reason is included in this show. It's very disappointing that, compared to Venom 2, the last part of the trilogy provides better entertainment, even though you can't find a cohesive story in it, even with a magnifying glass. So, Tom Hardy's deep journey has been going on for a long time MuharramThere probably won't be a second season, and based on what we saw in the last round, it's safe to say the actor probably won't know To play His turn there.
Tom Hardy has broken down, he can still compete with monsters from horror films, but no one should expect more from him.
If you are already waiting. Finally, I should add that Venom 3 has the longest cast list in the world, and the final short scene, clicked to the end of the twenty-minute drop-down menu, isn't even worth the wait. When I looked at those names, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the many people who dedicated their talents to such a terrible superhero movie.
