The makers of The Traitors are hoping to bring Ricky Gervais back to the BBC to star in their new celebrity-backed spin-off. The 63-year-old comedian is among the A-list stars the project could choose from, writes The sun.

The paper notes that Ricky Gervais will be in good company at the traitors' table, but his presence is likely to depend on his very full memoirs. The Sun reported in January that celebrity casting is underway and filming is expected to begin in early 2025.
