The Hungarian government does not provide enough resources for local governments and gets too involved in their affairs – writes last time In her Council of Europe.

At the same time, the report suggested to the Hungarian government
Stop centralization, consult local governments, and try to intervene as little as possible in their affairs.
They also called on the state to provide adequate resources to local authorities and allow them to regulate tax policy within their jurisdiction.
