Mohu's goal is to replace at least 90 percent of beverage containers in Hungary within three years, as it is estimated that more than 3 billion beverage containers are in circulation each year.
He wrote that bottles can currently be exchanged at 3,700 locations, of which 1,300 offer manual exchange. This number will continue to increase in the future.
They indicated in the announcement that exchange places are not determined by Moho, but can be applied for voluntarily. Mohu pays stores a handling fee for each bottle returned. The tasks of the shops are daily operation, cleaning and emptying the vending machines, as well as cleaning their surroundings, according to what MTI reported.
They also expect growth in villages
According to Moho's statement, an increase in manual recovery, which typically affects small settlements, is also expected, as clients are attracted to the possibility of recovery.
The most popular redemption method is a paper voucher that can be redeemed in-store, and customers have so far requested more than 20 billion Hungarian forints. One unique option in Europe for local vending machines is the ability to transfer redemption fees directly to one's bank account, and approximately 10-15 percent of redeemers choose this solution. According to Moho, more than one million people have downloaded the necessary application.
With vending machines, it is also possible for the customer to donate the redemption fees to charity. This goal is now to treat children. So far, customers have donated about 70 million Hungarian forints in this way, and this amount is also constantly increasing, and will be distributed to three institutions dealing with the treatment of children at the national level. In this way, we can support the Pal-Heim National Pediatric Institute, Bethesda Children's Hospital, and the Semmelweis University Pediatric Clinic.
