Index – Economy – Now any homeowner can receive a subsidy to upgrade heating

According to the company's information, an open tender for individuals launched on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Daikin brand enables 100 applicants in Hungary to replace their heating system with a modern air-to-air heat pump system, i.e. air-conditioned heating. For the winning applicants, Daikin provides both the device and the installation, and the amount of support depends on the amount of energy savings achieved in the application calculator.

Individuals with a Hungarian tax number can bid on their own property until August 31. You can apply on the Daikin website, where detailed conditions are available – The company told MTI on Friday.

The company announced that applications will be evaluated within 10 days after August 31. Among the duly completed and installed applications, 100 applications with the highest proven energy saving rates are supported. All applicants can calculate the expected amount of energy savings achieved through the upgrade using the calculator, which is also available on the Daikin website as part of the application.

It will be operational by mid-December at the latest.

If the ten applicants achieve the greatest energy savings, the amount of support reaches 100 percent, meaning Daikin fully finances both the equipment and the installation. In the case of the following 90 applications that demonstrate the best energy efficiency, the company offers a fixed 50 percent subsidy for the complete heating retrofit. The new machines will be installed and commissioned by the winners in the fall, but no later than December 15.
