Péter Szijjártó has announced another tender for companies damaged by Brexit. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office published the news on its Facebook page, indicating that many Hungarian companies have incurred losses after the United Kingdom the left from the European Union.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade already launched a tender for its aid in the fall, when 37 companies received a support of 10.2 billion HUF, which will make it possible to invest 19 billion HUF, according to Peter Szijjarto.

The foreign minister said the winning companies, representing several industries, will use the support to acquire new equipment for technological development, infrastructure and real estate development, production or knowledge licensing, information technology development and energy-saving development.

In view of the success of the first call, we will launch the second round of the Brexit tender on January 17, this time with a budget of HUF 12 billion.

Péter Szijjártó wrote, adding that any company that has suffered a loss due to Brexit can apply. The amount of support can be the amount of confirmed damage, up to a maximum of HUF 2 billion.

The aid intensity is 70% for micro and small enterprises, 60% for medium-sized enterprises and 50% for large enterprises.

The application can be submitted for a period of thirty days starting from January 17th.
