After two whole years, the Sziget Festival will be held in Budapest again in 2022. Programs on the island of Ubuda will begin on August 10, and on November 23, 2021 the first forty names of the performers have been revealed.
Tamas Kadar, Al Jazeera’s lead organizer, said:
We are preparing for Island 2022 with great enthusiasm with a program that deserves a “big return” after a long break. On the big stage, for example, we’ve now announced the headlines that will bring their new recordings to the island.
Kadar noted that Kings of Leon had unveiled their new album in March of this year, to make up for the island party they missed last year, as well as Dua Lipa, who brought in his Grammy Award-winning album last year and did not top the album. Island towers visitor wish list.
Among the headlines now announced on the grand stage are Arctic Monkeys. The band recently announced that their new album is ready for 2022 and obviously we can listen to it live on Al Jazeera.
Kadar said that the list just released includes other artists on the big stage who will star in several international festivals in 2022, such as Bastille, Stromae or Lewis Capaldi.
More than 40 artists just released show a very diverse and attractive profile for next year’s production, which includes international stars, famous names, current mouth-watering music and emerging bands, so we can start selling tickets for our 2022 festival very seriously. Strong first ad.
