Recently, even after performing The Great Visit at the Carinthian Theater, the actor came out to bow to the audience with a stick.
Unfortunately, this is due to a hernia of the spine. I’ve had it before, had surgery on it, but then again, my back isn’t quite right. Unfortunately, that is. I’m not happy about it, it hurts too, so I can only go with a stick. I have to recline, so I rest this part a bit, and on the other hand, it’s safe. But I don’t want to complain, a lot of old people can no longer be quite fit. I was at the doctor, he knows exactly what is allowed and what is not. I don’t know if I will have surgery or not, it hasn’t been mentioned yet
– He honestly admitted the artist, who actually underwent surgery in 2017 due to a spinal hernia. He had to give up his performance at the time, but now he’s happy to take the stage and reveal why he keeps working:
I’m an actor, this is my life. Plus it’s not as dangerous now as it was before. I do my job and don’t put myself at risk.
Gábor Koncz has also revealed that his current role is that he has to lie in bed almost all the way and doesn’t have to jump or run anywhere. He added that he is looking forward to getting back on stage because he really missed the job.
