By tradition, members of the royal family attend the morning service on Christmas morning. This custom continued this year, as King Charles led the march from their estate in Sandringham, Norfolk, eastern England, where the first family of the royal family usually celebrates Christmas.
All this in itself is not new at all, it is part of the holiday schedule every year, but this time a face that has not been seen for a long time appeared at the event, which was surrounded by great interest.
The king's brother, Prince Andras, also participated in the march, who this time walked with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, unsurprisingly.
All of this is also strange because Prince Andras has not been able to participate in most public events since Virginia Giuffre accused him of sexually harassing her on three occasions when she was still a minor, aged 17. The prince completely denied the accusation, and was finally able to settle the matter with the woman outside court.
In addition, on Christmas morning, Andrew had his wife Sarah Ferguson, i.e. Sarah, Duchess of York, accompany the royal family to the festive service for the first time in more than 30 years. Although the couple separated in 1996, they remained close, sharing a home and often being seen with their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
King Karolyi also spoke at the service, stressing the importance of peace.
We must do everything we can to protect each other. Jesus' words seem more important than ever: Do to others as they would do to you. This reminds us to imagine ourselves in the shoes of our neighbors. Wishing everyone on Earth a Merry Christmas and good will today and always
