Former US President Donald Trump, during his rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, continued to attack Joe Biden's seclusion, Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris's ideas on the economy, and his appearance.
Upon his return to the swing state, Trump spoke for nearly two hours on Saturday, quickly attacking Harris' economic policy plans before going off script and describing himself as “better looking” than the vice president, Reuters reported. ABC News.
Yesterday, Kamala presented his so-called economic plan. He said he would lower the cost of food and housing from day one. But Kamala's first day was three and a half years ago.
Trump, who insisted he could keep prices down, said without giving any further details beyond a general desire to expand U.S. oil production.
“From the day I take the oath of office, I will act quickly to lower prices and make America affordable again. We will make it affordable again,” Trump said.
Meanwhile, she once again complained on the cover of Time magazine, claiming she was “better looking” than the vice president, having previously called him “beautiful” during a conversation with Elon Musk last week. “Don’t ever call a woman beautiful again, please, because it will mean the end of your political career,” Trump began, later adding:
“I say I look a lot better. I look better than Kamala.”
“They say her biggest asset is that she’s not a beautiful woman. I say what? I didn’t even think about that. I look better than him,” the Republican candidate continued.
Harris did not remain calm either.
Ahead of next week’s Democratic National Convention, Trump questioned why Harris was attending, claiming the event was “rigged.” He again drew attention to the fact that Harris never won votes as a presidential candidate (he only assumed that role after Joe Biden dropped out).
“Why are you going to the convention?” Trump asked, continuing his claim that Harris “stole” President Joe Biden’s nomination and that Biden is “angry” and “hates” Harris.
Joe Biden hates it. It was the overthrow of the president. He certainly is.
The former president said. He also added that he was looking forward to the debate with Harris, claiming it would be “easier.” [mint Biden ellen volt – a szerk.].
In response to Trump's rally, the Harris-Walz campaign criticized Trump for resorting to “lies” and “titles” to promote his economic agenda.
Another rally, same old show. Unable to sell his dangerous 2025 plan, which aims to raise taxes on working families by $3,900, repeal the Affordable Care Act and take away our freedoms, Donald Trump resorts to lies, insults and rambling rhetoric.
They claimed.
ABC News had about 8,500 people seated at the start of Trump’s speech, but after about an hour, people began to stream in. By the end of the nearly two-hour speech, the arena was only half full. Some in line told The Gateway that they had been unable to convince friends to come to the rally because they were concerned about the security measures that had to be put in place because of the assassination attempt on the former president.
