They were separated at birth for heartbreaking reasons, but now they’ve found each other and the Colorado triplets are inseparable.
The story of Ricky Jump and her twin sisters, Julianne and Kendall Scavo, is now bringing netizens to tears. Their mother, Kathleen, decided to put them up for adoption after their birth, as she was unable to support them with her truck driver husband. The deaf woman, now 67, said: She was excited when it turned out she was pregnant, but she was very desperate because she was carrying three children, so she only kept one.
The girls were born on June 7, 1991. The mother decided to raise Ricky only because Julianne and Kendall were in the same position in her womb – she believed that they should stay together. They looked for adoptive parents for the little ones — they ended up with the Scavo family living in Fort Collins, Colorado — and while Ricki grew up knowing she had twin brothers all along, Kendalls didn’t make peace with her until they were in elementary school.
We lived about 60 kilometers away from each other. Once, when we were eight years old, we went shopping near where they lived. A little girl came up to me and thought I was Julian – it was one of my sisters. This is when we started writing to each other. We quickly became friends, and made up for lost years by writing letters. The bond between us became very strong, and when we finally met at the age of 11, it felt like we had always known each other.
– said Ricky, who said their mother, Kathleen, always felt guilty for abandoning the girls. Then they see Julianne and Kendall’s adoptive parents and realize that she made the best possible decision.
