He spends several hours a day digging his elbows in the trash.
It may sound strange, but for Veronica Taylor, the search for a living has become the most natural thing in the world. Arguably a full-time diver, the 32-year-old from Pennsylvania has no shame: She even climbs into trash cans in search of something more valuable.
I think that’s great. I can compare it to treasure hunting better, I have no clue what I’m going to find. It’s what I do for a living, and I can be with my best friend in the process. We will divide the money equally
Commented Taylor, who claims to earn about $5,000 (1.69 million forints) a month. In his view, it’s not even worth having a regular job if you can earn enough money while having fun. As it turns out, the most valuable items are sold at online auctions, and food and cosmetics are given to charities and the homeless.
The 32-year-old first tried scuba diving in 2022, and has been hooked ever since.

– remembers Taylor, who now moves from city to city in the United States with his girlfriend in search of new, unexamined boxes. As they say, this constant driving is the equivalent of an endless vacation for them. They allegedly saved nearly $15,000 (5 million HUF) in two months by littering.
