Index – Local – Rare local COVID-19 ward recordings: Most patients are not immunized

Although in Hungary the media are allowed to enter the hospital walls only in very rare cases – this is especially true. for covid seasons – RTL Híradója has now entered the department of the Greek Catholic Hospital in Kisvárda, where coronavirus patients are cared for. Here, as at the beginning of the epidemic, discipline remains high, with everyone wearing double rubber gloves and a mask as well as goggles when entering.

According to the nurses, the most heartbreaking thing is when whole families enter, but it is also difficult to communicate with an acquaintance or only one of their colleagues. Sheila Diack, head of the department, said in the report that unfortunately there has been an example of this before, and one employee of the institution has gone missing, which the employees have not yet lost.

The ward staff also spoke of the fact that although there are patients who have been vaccinated, the majority of those who go to the hospital are not immunized. By the way, the condition of patients is constantly changing, and who recovers and who does not, it is almost impossible to predict.

We have a patient who has started to improve after a week of non-invasive ventilation, but someone is not responding well

Said Abriha Daniel – resident.

By the way, the establishment is already feeling the effect of spending Christmas without restrictions, with large family gatherings, so the general manager is asking for more caution in the coming days.
