On Friday, Musk added to the speculation when he wrote on Twitter, now renamed X, that the fight would be broadcast live on his and Zuckerberg’s social platforms. He added, “The background for all camera shots will be ancient Rome, nothing modern at all.”
The fight will be officiated by myself and Zuck Enterprises (not the UFC).

He said he spoke with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the Minister of Culture and they “agreed on a wonderful place”. And earlier, he posted the word “gladiators” next to two crossed sword emojis.
Then the Minister of Culture issued a statement ruling out that Rome would be a place for dueling between billionaires.
However, Musk also noted that the battle is not close, as the billionaire has shoulder problems and needs surgery and his recovery could take several months.
