Since its formation in 2009, the network has been running from 3 to 5 May 2023. It met for the 14th time between them. The purpose of the organization is to provide a platform for directors of the highest-level EU public prosecutor’s offices to exchange professional experiences. Thus, at the Network’s conferences, the participants discussed trends in crime, important decisions for EU case law, and further development directions for the operation of prosecutors’ offices.
Presentations at the current conference focused on new phenomena, challenges and solutions in the field of data protection, environmental and financial crimes.
The Hungarian Public Prosecutor’s Office was honored with the unanimous vote of Chief Prosecutor Peter Bolt as Vice President of the Network.
In addition to the new Vice-President, the meeting also elected two new Secretary Generals, Franz Pleuchel, Attorney General of the Republic of Austria, and François Molins, Chief Prosecutor of the French Court of Cassation, and will continue to hold this. office, the prosecutor’s office reads on his website.
