The Zoltan Bay Research Institute has prepared an unusual scientific presentation for the Researchers' Night. At tram stop number 47 in Móricz Zsigmond körtér, scientists amazed visitors with amazing chemical and physical experiments, who this time were not just spectators, but also participants in a Flashmob featuring explosions, burning and light shows.
Adam Vida, the center's director of research and development, came to the arena with a megaphone and microphone to draw the attention of passersby to the experiments. The scientist and his team were the first to introduce non-Newtonian fluids to the traveling public. Both young and old were happy to dip their hands into the substance with special properties. In the next experiment, electricity took center stage. Adam and his assistants demonstrated electromagnetism using a magnet thrown through a copper tube, and this was immediately followed by a spectacular combustion experiment.
Famous influencers like Janka Molnár, A Science is exciting Channel owner and Culture nerds Erzsei and Adamji. “We have been producing videos for ten years, and we see that our audience is becoming more and more excited about informational content,” said Erzci, who believes it is important for people to know that science is all around us. And the things we think are normal are physics and chemistry too.

The opinion leaders did not come to the arena by chance, as they also took part in the evening roundtable discussion in the center's Kondorva Utka Centre. As Erzci said, this is a great opportunity for influential people who produce educational content to join forces and promote the research profession.
As we spoke, the team froze a banana into stone using liquid nitrogen at minus 196 degrees, which spectators could then smash with a hammer. While the fruit was freezing, the manager told us that we could pour this very cold liquid on our hands without getting into trouble, because our skin was protected by an air cushion, from which the hydrogen at minus 200 degrees Celsius floated away.
The show ended with drawing with flame and nitrogen mixed with hot water, surprising those in the arena with a huge cloud of steam.
The primary mission of our Research Center is to create world-class innovations in Hungary. Not just to follow others, but to lead the sector
– said Adam Vidai, adding that they are committed to training future researchers and consider it very important to create a livable, predictable and fair career path for researchers. “It will be the mission of children who are now teenagers to solve the world's global problems in the future. This does not mean that adults no longer have a mission today, but our mission is to identify the tools and processes they will be able to use to combat accelerating global warming. The R&D director said: That's why we're putting the experiments in their hands today, so they can experience that science is always the answer.”

In the evening, a free concert awaits those interested
Attila Farkas, the center's marketing director, told our newspaper that this year they have prepared a series of programs for those interested in science that surpass anything so far. They also managed to establish cooperation with MOHU, the Association of Environmental Services and Manufacturers and BKV, thanks to which the so-called Tudomány Express runs on tram line 47 all day on Friday. On board, an enthusiastic team of young researchers introduces various innovations and developments during the flight.
The Tudomány Expressz can be used for free until Andor utca station closest to the Bay Zoltán Research Institute Centre. However, the open day doesn't end there, as the band Ivan and Parazol will perform a free concert in the center's car park from 9pm. The event requires advance registration, which On this link They can reach.
