Hungary’s first sports-only radio station, Sportrádió, is coming out this month. A few days before the centenary of the birth of the legend of radio reporter Giorgi Sibisi.

Based on the Mediaworks network of correspondents, a sports radio will be launched in the reception area in Budapest at a frequency of 105.9MHz.

Owner György Szöllősi announced Thursday evening at the National Theatre, Sports Concert of the Year. Not surprisingly, called Sportrádió, the main names are routine television and radio personalities, such as Zoltán Szujó, Levente Harsányi and Zsuzsa Csisztu, who have previously appeared in public media and commercial broadcasts.

We know that in the afternoon they will try to lure students and keep them in front of the machines with a live stream, with the National Sports team checking in from the venue.

We learned that the broadcast will start in January. Sports radio as a business is little known all over the world, the most famous of which is Radio Marca, which is very popular in Spain, the daily sports radio of the same name.

As Media1 wrote back in September, a company called LBK Sport Kft. The 105.9MHz frequency previously used by Karc FM won a tender and bought it from LBK Sport Kft. At Felcsút, Fő utca 111 Online Sport Media Ltd. , owned by György Szöllősi, editor-in-chief of National Sports and president of the Hungarian Sports Journalists Association.
