As Index previously reported, such an ambitious project may have never been born on this planet like the vision of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which is to establish the city of NEOM, which is located on the borders with Egypt and Jordan.
The metropolis will consist of three districts, Trogena, Oxagon, and The Line, which can accommodate almost the entire Hungarian population, and which together will open a completely new standard in terms of how to live in harmony with nature and technology.
Of the three cities, The Line received the most media coverage. It is a megacity that is 170 kilometers long, but only 200 meters wide and 500 meters high, and which will consist of two parallel “walls” between which nature will come. Life, because it is difficult to imagine it in the middle of the desert.
We've written in more detail about what the building looks like – and, more importantly, how it works – in this article, and below you can see how construction work in the major city is currently progressing. The project is expected to reach the point where the first residents can move to The Line within four years, in 2028.

This will need some massive foundations if it ends up being 500 meters high!!! pic.twitter.com/sBLzcKHFJV
