On Tuesday morning, many people took to social media to complain about their inability to send or receive messages on the popular Meta-owned platform. After opening the app, users discover that while they can still access their conversations, they can’t receive new messages or send anything.

WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging platform worldwide and is estimated to have more than 2 billion active users. The platform’s parent company, Meta, which also owns Facebook and Instagram, has not commented yet.
