Harry Potter films evoking the world of folk magic and the lives of the distinguished students of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft have impressed movie fans, who, with the development of technology, do not have to remain without magic even after the end of the story.
Although many people do not know it, iPhones can also be taught like a real magician’s plant, so thanks to a well-targeted spell, it almost becomes a magic wand even in the hands of thieves, that is, ordinary people. Of course, in fact, everything remains the same, but thanks to the voice control system for Apple phones, Siri, you can make everyday life easier, if the special spells he speaks in the Harry Potter films were not completely alien, as he pointed out. urchin.
Although not all spells are pre-built into the system, after one or two settings, your phone will listen to several spells. To do this, all you have to do is turn on the Siri voice control function on your device, then add the “Hey Siri” voice command and use the appropriate dictation to enter the world of Harry Potter.
But what are the features activated on your phone like real magic, or what features can you easily teach your phone to do?
Lumus
Lumos is a light spell a recurring feature in the Harry Potter books and movies. As a result of summoning magic, a small light appears at the end of the wand, and now, thanks to Siri, we can turn our iPhone, which has been developed into a wand, to light up. With the command word “Hey Siri, Lumos” we can turn on the flashlight function of our phone without any previous settings, however, this magic spell cannot control its brightness, and we cannot achieve the most powerful illumination by activating the command.
Knox
Even though our phone starts to light up immediately using the Lumos magic spell, we can only turn off the light with other instructions afterwards. Just like in the movies, we can use the Nox magic on our phone to eliminate the light brought in with Lumos, which should be saved with the magic described above, if we don’t want to put an end to the lamp burning ourselves.
a job
The third pre-programmed magic that we can access on our iPhone is the “Accio” assembly magic, which in most cases is heard as “Invito” in the movies, but we can’t access this function on our phone using this command.
But what happens to our phone when the Accio spell is cast? In our case, it is not possible to attract different objects, but even more so to open a specific application. If, for example, we want to open Facebook, all we have to do is say “Hey Siri, Accio Facebook” on the phone, and we can already browse the social network. The magic works with any application that can be found on the device, after the command we just have to mention the name of the application we want to open.
Lumus Maxima
Although in the case of the Lumos spell we don’t have the option to direct our phone to light up at full brightness, but we do have the option to mark our phone this separately thanks to a manually set command. To do this, a new command must be created, which must then be added to Siri. To use the Lumos Maxima spell, add a Flashlight action, then use the slider to set its brightness to maximum.
Silencio
With the magic of Silencio audio silencing, you can easily mute your device. However, saying it by default only turns off notifications so it’s useful to add the “Set focus” action and then set the “Do Not Disturb” focus, as we receive notifications, but the phone will endure all this in silence.
mavliato
“Muffliato” is the silencing magic that prevents thieves, witches and other magicians from overhearing your conversation. All this while the person who is obscured by the spell hears a humming sound due to the spell, similar to continuous tinnitus. On your iPhone, you can use this magic to lower the volume, activating the background sounds feature to not only lower the volume, but also mute everything that happens on your iPhone. This way, the people around you will not listen to you.
Although there are several steps involved in setting it up, it is very simple: just add the Adjust Volume action and change it to a lower value. Next, add “Set Background Sound” and set it to “On”. Finally, add the “Change Background Sound” action, and set it to a sound of your choice. Then by adding the “Adjust the level of background sounds” action, you can change its level as well.
Sonoros – Silentium
Sonorus, i.e. sound amplification magic, while in the case of Harry Potter it can amplify a person’s voice, in the case of his phone it does all that with the device. In this case, it actually means that the instructions raise the volume of the iPhone to the maximum. To do this, simply add the “Adjust volume” action as a command, then set the volume to 100 percent.
Sound magic – just like Lumos – can only be canceled by another spell. Sonorus can be disabled using Silentium, that is, the magic of sound silencing, which is also easy to adjust, after adjusting the volume, for example, set the function to 50 percent, or to a volume lower than the specified value when using the volume booster command and the pre-activated command becomes Already an empty spell.
Humnum Revival
In the world of Harry Potter, the Homenum Revelio, that is the man-revealing spell, can show the user the nearby magic, and noticing the spell can also be useful in the case of our phone. Although we won’t be able to find everyone who uses magic, thanks to the Find My app, we can track the people close to us who give us permission to do so. To make the magic work, add the People tab to Siri in the app, so it only takes two words to find out who’s around you.
