On April 21, you can apply for the hacker competition organized by the National Cyber Defense Institute of the National Security Service until midnight. According to the invitation published on the website of the Cyber Defense Institute, all Hungarian citizens over the age of 16 can apply to participate in the IT security competition called the Hungarian Cyber Security Challenge (HCSC'24).
The competition will be held on April 25 from 6:00 pm until April 28 at 6:00 pm – Thursday to Sunday – and contestants can use their own devices.
According to MTI, CTF tasks and forensic image tasks must be solved in a single-round competition, where everyone gets the same tasks. The platform (CTFD) and communication channel (Discord) used in the competition are provided by the organizers.
Competitors are awarded in three categories: juniors include those born between January 1, 2004 and December 31, 2008, seniors include those born between January 1, 1999 and December 31, 2003, while in the overall competition the results of all participating players are taken.
