Google’s June 22 morning update may make the app and other features that use the search engine unusable on Android smartphones. The error can affect any Android phone, regardless of the manufacturer.

There are also reports that users are getting persistent error messages from the device warning Google to shutdown.
Google has not yet commented on the bug, but since then another update has been received through the Play Store and Downdetector Statistics Reporting fewer and fewer errors.
As a first step, you may want to check the Play Store to see if an update has been received since this morning to fix the error. If so, installing it can fix the error.
If you don’t see an update and you’re still experiencing what’s described on your device, Settings – Apps – Google You can cancel the incorrect update by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner of the menu item.
