The two member banks of the Magyar Bank Holding, Budapest Bank and MKB, are scheduled to merge on March 31, 2022, and during the merger, Budapest Bank will be merged into MKB – it turns out From the company’s advertisement.
Takarékbank will join the merged bank in the spring of 2022 at the latest in 2023, while Magyar Bankholding will implement the ongoing operational coordination of the three banks.

The timetable for the two-stage merger will also require owner approval, which may be set on December 15 this year.
After the merger, clients of Budapest Bank and MKB Bank will be able to manage their financial affairs in the usual way and on the same surface, and the financial institution will temporarily continue to operate under the name MKB Bank.
At the same time, the full management of the bank ownership – the deputy CEOs and managing directors – will assume the responsibilities of the senior management of the member banks from November 15, 2021.
With the merger of the three banks, the second largest banking group was formed in Hungary.
