The Minister of State described the agreement as a milestone and noted that it contributes to linking economic development institutions in the area of interest of the government and NGM and coordinating their work.
The State Secretary noted that a similar agreement had already been reached: NGM concluded it with KAVOSZ Zrt and the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers (VOSZ), later joined by IFKA Közhasznú Nonprofit Kft., of which MGFÜ was formed.
They are the backbone of the economy
According to the joint press release of MFB and MGFÜ, which was issued immediately, the agreement further develops the institutional system for local enterprise development in order to ensure an easily and quickly accessible development policy and system of financing instruments for Hungarian SMEs. Máté Lóga answered MTI's question,
It is important for the government to support SMEs, as 99.9% of the approximately 900,000 companies operating in the country are classified as SMEs.
They form the backbone of the Hungarian economy and, through their employees, ensure the existence of many Hungarian families. That's why it's important for the Hungarian state to operate the infrastructure that serves companies as efficiently as possible, and to be able to provide development resources to them as quickly as possible, said Matej Luja.
The SME sector is under pressure
The Minister of State also stressed that the government's strategy for SMEs identifies and defines the main pillars of business development until 2030:
- Increasing the productivity of small and medium enterprises,
- Access to adequate financing
- Increasing export capacity.
The strategic cooperation agreement concluded with the MFB helps SMEs access funds on the one hand, and benefit from advice on the other, MTI concluded, said Richard Szabados, Director General of the agency.
