A shared streaming package is coming.
An unlikely alliance has been formed, as Disney Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery announced the launch of a joint streaming package that will offer previous Disney+ and HBO content, namely Max and Hulu.
The goal of the big crash is pretty clear: to topple Netflix (or at least catch up with it).
It's not known exactly how much this package will cost, and the launch date isn't clear, the company's announcement only revealed that it will be available in the US starting this summer – it will be possible to subscribe on the website of any of the three streaming platforms mentioned above (the version based on Advertisements or advertising release).
In fact, Disney+ already teamed up with Hulu when it merged its content this spring, and this is not a unique (strategic) move, for example Paramount+ and Showtime merged last year.
