Russia is unable to control security within its borders. Putin’s security forces cannot guarantee the safety of their citizens
A confidential source told the Ukrainian newspaper, referring to the paramilitary units crossing the Russian-Ukrainian border for the umpteenth time. He also criticized the Russian military leadership, in his opinion, that they are unnecessarily wasting their resources in Avgievka, while not enough attention is paid to protecting the border.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Russia’s Belgorod region, confirmed the break-in, but did not share information about the losses on social media. But he said the border town of Terebryno was affected by the measure. No evacuation order was issued, but village residents were called to take shelter or to well-protected places.
This is not the first time the Russian Freedom Corps has crossed the border: on May 22, they also set out for the Belgorod region with a number of combat vehicles.
At that time, units of the Russian Volunteer Army (RDK) also went with them. At that time, Russian forces arrested pro-Ukrainian militants. Kiev is under constant criticism for funding fighters, but the Ukrainian leadership denies this charge.
