The functionality did not work on all devices in the beta version, and in the end they did not change the appearance either.
From Monday, September 12, iOS 16 can be downloaded on all compatible iPhones, which although it does not bring drastic changes in any region, contains innovations that definitely make using the devices more convenient and practical. For example, they brought back a long-deleted functionality that Apple abandoned in 2017, with the release of the iPhone X. Battery charging could finally be a permanent screen feature again, but oddly enough, it’s not on all iOS 16 compatible devices.
While users quickly learned to come to terms with the fact that you have to pull up the Control Center to check the battery, the option to see constantly charge was undoubtedly useful, so Apple made it available again in the iOS 16 beta. Perhaps thanks in part to the That’s to Dynamic Island, which allowed Cupertino engineers to rearrange the top of the screens.
However, there is a catch. In the beta version, the small charging screen wasn’t available on four compatible devices, and unfortunately that didn’t change the overall look either. The affected models are:
- iPhone XR
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 12 mini
- iPhone 13 mini
Although Apple did not specify the reason for making this decision, it is possible that the devices in question are not supported due to the size and resolution of the screens. However, in the related document, please note that Control Center and Battery Tool are still a solution to the problem.
