Istvan Nagy: The countryside is the driving force for the renewal of the Hungarian economy

2,900 billion forints are available to modernize the farm until 2027, which is unique in Europe, Istvan Nagy said when handing over the new cattle farm to the local Ezüstkalász-2000 Kft farm.

According to the head of the ministry, this amount, which includes 600 billion HUF in support from the European Union and 2,300 HUF in national funding, is three times the amount so far, which will be used to establish Hungarian agriculture in the 21st century.

He added: Until now, Hungarian agriculture had a major disadvantage, as it mainly produced raw materials.

In the future, with technological modernization, precision agriculture, with as much value addition as possible, with as much processing as possible, it will be possible to produce products of better quality and bring the highest possible income to farmers.

According to Istvan Nagy, all this contributes to

He who lives in the countryside lives in a good environment and finds his fulfillment in the place where he was born.

The Minister of Agriculture also touched on tenders that have “three legs.”

The first is support for young children, where no deduction is required, 15,000 euros, approximately six million forints, can be granted, and the only condition is that the supported activity must last for five years.

The second is to support small family businesses, where the maximum limit is 200 million Hungarian forints and requires a 50 percent discount.

“The third leg” is the financing of bids for large farms capable of exporting, where the maximum limit is five billion HUF – explained István Nagy, adding that new bids worth 200 billion HUF will be issued, and small family farms can apply for 50 billion HUF. Large companies can apply for 150 billion Hungarian forints.

As an innovation, the deductible amount should only be added last: 20% of the funds allocated to multi-billion-dollar projects and 50% of the funds allocated to smaller projects are paid as an advance, so that development can start as soon as possible, as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the management of bank loans needed for discounting becomes more flexible.

– The Prime Minister indicated.

Another innovation is that tenders will be announced continuously until the end of the year, and all 64 tender opportunities will be published this year, he added.

István Vitani, representative of the Fidesz Regional Parliament, was happy to confirm this

The government constantly supported people living in the countryside, whom it encouraged to do business.

He added that the risks of the June 9 elections are the continuation of large-scale developments in the region.

Ferenc Kiss, Managing Director of Ezüstkalász-2000 Kft., noted that they had made an investment of 2.5 billion forints in their farm with approximately 1.2 billion forints of support won in a tender.
