It’s almost unbelievable, but Africa is slowly but surely splitting in two. Like everything in geology, this is a very long process, taking millions of years, but eventually we will see part of East Africa separated from the rest of the continent, which could lead to the formation of a new ocean between the two land masses.
The mysterious Sea Folk almost conquered ancient Egypt, and their descendants may still live among us today

The massive fault is associated with the East African Rift System (EARS). It is an active continental rift zone in East Africa. The EAR began to evolve at the beginning of the Miocene, 22-25 million years ago. Previously, it was considered part of the larger Great Rift Valley, which extended north into Asia Minor.
The rift extends thousands of kilometers down Africa and affects several countries, including Ethiopia, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Zambia and Tanzania.
Specifically, this rift system means that the African plate began to split into two parts, the smaller Somali plate and the larger Nubian plate. According to a 2004 study, this process is very slow, with plates disintegrating at a speed as slow as millimeters per year.
In complete shock, a secret Mayan pyramid was opened, and what they found inside was immediately sealed

Changes that occur slowly may create a very different world in the future. A new oceanic form may arise between the Somali plate and the Nubian plate. The great continent of Africa will lose its eastern shoulder, and a great sea will cut off East Africa. The Earth’s surface is actually constantly changing; It’s so slow that people can’t even try it. Many changes can occur over the years, and even the appearance of the world as we know it is relatively new. The land and sea we see today – Eurasia, America, Africa, Antarctica and Oceania – are the product of huge tectonic plates.
A video of the breakup was also filmed, which can be watched below.
