The Scientific Council for Disaster Management (KTT) of the National Directorate-General for Disaster Management (KTT) is waiting until September 27 to present scientific submissions that address practical questions and problems in the field of firefighting, civil protection and industrial safety.
Whoever chooses one of the announced topics and submits the project by September 27 undertakes to prepare a monograph or dissertation that has not been published elsewhere.
Theses can be written on the following topics:
- Analyzing the work of civil defense systems to reveal good practices in European countries.
- The impact of Hungary’s exposure to disasters and security challenges on the possibilities of implementing CER directives.
- Possibility of developing means and methods of public information related to dangerous plants.
- Possibilities of applying artificial intelligence (machine learning) for disaster prevention.
- Professional and legal issues for cross-border disaster prevention cooperation.
- Preparation and preparation for extreme weather events with the participation of civil and non-governmental organizations and municipalities, methods and capacity building at the local level.
- The place and role of disaster management agencies in the system of tasks of the Department of Defense and Security.
With regard to the submitted project, it is expected to have a logical structure, both in terms of content and form, and there must be an abstract at the end, which must contain innovative proposals.
Applications must be mailed in by September 27, and works received will be evaluated by a professional jury of experts. The first three places will get cash prizes.
The results of the tender will be announced at the ceremonial meeting of the Home Affairs Science Council – Hungarian Science Festival 2023, held as the closing event for the Home Affairs chapter – in November.
