Italian beach workers staged a warning strike on Friday morning because they want the government to finally set proper rules for their work, he wrote. Italian News Agency ANSAThe government is planning to change the beach concessions system, which beach workers say is hurting their interests. The workers are also tired of being portrayed as leeches in the media and in Italian folklore, where kiosk workers are often portrayed as lazy people who want to make a lot of money by doing little work.

However, they reminded me that they are always on the beaches by 5am and provide a high quality service, which is why so many tourists choose Italian beaches.

The essence of Friday's strike was that the umbrellas would not be opened between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. The proportion of protesting beaches varied by region, and almost every beach in Liguria joined the action, but in many places the umbrellas were not opened, for example in Sardinia.

According to the staff, the guests did not notice much of all this, on the one hand, because there were not many people in the morning, and on the other hand, because on most beaches, the guests were compensated for the inconvenience with brioche. Or bread with tomatoes and oregano. At the same time, according to the beach workers, the majority of beachgoers supported their strike.
