Hi, what are you looking for?

It's the only place in the world where you can touch two continents while diving.

Plate tectonics don't have a good reputation. We attribute them to massive earthquakes and volcanic activity that spews lava. They also have a beautiful and safe location in Iceland.

Located in Thingvellir National Park, the Silfra Rift stretches between the Eurasian and North American continental plates.

Between the two is a popular freshwater diving and snorkeling area that is so narrow that if you dive all the way to the bottom, you can actually get your hands on both continents.

The two sides of Silfra move apart by two centimetres every year, but the dive site is not only famous for that: its waters are incredibly clear, and divers can see the jagged rocks from up to a hundred metres away.

Before you start frantically clicking to book an appointment, it doesn't hurt to know that since it's icy water, it's very cold (between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius), and all divers and snorkelers must wear dry suits preferred by industrial underwater divers.

Diving is also limited, with the gap being sixty metres deep, so only those with the appropriate qualifications can dive.

Silfra is the only place in the world where you can swim between two tectonic plates. While there are similar underwater boundaries similar to trenches on Earth, most of them lie in the middle of vast oceans that lie very deep beneath the surface.

If you're up for it, Silfra is just over an hour's bus ride from the capital, Reykjavik. Several travel agencies run day trips there. For more information On the official website of Silvera Worth a look.

Is it worth braving the cold of the magnificent Arctic country on a winter trip, or is it better to visit the Fire and Ice Island in the summer? It really depends on what we want to see and do. In the summer months, there is a lot to do, but the winter period also holds surprises.

Summer is here, which is great news in itself, but we can boost the mood with the release of the latest issue of Roadster magazine in the next few days. What do we find in it? We visit the Azores, Dubai and see one of the most vibrant areas of Istanbul, Beyoğlu. We meet the world-famous British designer Tom Dixon, interview the director of Getty Images, who preserves the legacy of the famous photographer Selim Aarons, and at the invitation of Frigis Bott, taste the most interesting fur chickens in the region with the best sommeliers in Europe. We immerse ourselves in the colorful and noisy world of independently published magazines, visit the headquarters of Tisza Cipő, feel what hand-woven carpets from the Ukrainian Carpathians can do, and ride in the saddle of an MV Agusta through the wild mountains of Sardinia. Once again, we have created an amazing 220-page journey with many stops, and we think it will be worth subscribing to! In the other pages of the magazine, we report on events in the world of cutting-edge travel, design, fashion, gastronomy, and everything else you can admire in life, according to our usual uncompromising standards.
