Janos Schack held talks at the Swiss headquarters of CERN

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Janos Schack held talks heading a delegation in Switzerland, including at the headquarters of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva.

The meeting, which was held at the Particle Physics Research Institute, was attended by French laser physics professor Gérard Moreau, winner of the Nobel Prize in 2018, and physicist Jean-Pierre Rivol, who is head of the scientific council of one of the companies affiliated with CERN. transmutex companies. With them, we visited the Large Ion Collider Experiment Center (ALICE), which operates next to CERN

The minister explained.

He pointed out that every research result around CERN is almost immediately tried out for some purpose that could be useful from society's point of view. Transmutex researches the energy of the future, by examining subatomic particles, quarks and gluons, and attempts to produce energy that is safe for the future and can be produced in sufficient quantities for the needs of society and the economy.

In Hungary, at the National Laboratory of the ELI Institute, which works closely with the University of Szeged, research is being carried out, partly inspired by Gérard Moreau, which is organically connected to the question of the energy of the future. In the production of neutrons, the ELI Center in Szeged achieved unique results in the world. We have technology with our scientists and researchers that our Swiss partners are very interested in

– The Prime Minister reported.

János Škák added: The two parties will develop a precise research and cooperation plan within three months, in which Gábor Szabó, Head of the International Laser Center (ELI-Alps), will play a key role.
