Larian Studios has also booked news of two summer game demos in the currently expanded Early Access Baldur’s Gate III related. one is that Jason Isaac He will play one of the main villains. The actor, for example, played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, and we saw him as Captain Hook in 2003’s Peter Pan.
In the game, he is assigned the role of Lord Enver-Gurtash. The city of Baldur’s Gate turns to him after the disappearance of Prince Ravengard, and he establishes a Steel Watcher army of mechanical robots that work around the clock to defend the city. Thus, Gurtash becomes the most powerful lord in the city.
We already learned that in addition to Jason Isaacs, JK Simmons will also play a role in Baldur’s Gate III. He will play General Keitherick Thurm.
Another big announcement from Larian is that after 20 years, we will once again have the opportunity to visit the titular city, one of the main locations in the Forgotten Realms universe, Baldur’s Gate. And, of course, the city appears on our screen in a much more detailed and interesting way than in the first games of the series.
In a city with a network of roads similar to a labyrinth, churches, alleys, and crowded buildings await us. And on the streets we can meet many characters with different stories and secrets. We can stop to talk to anyone, and everyone will respond no matter how small.
The developers also revealed that they originally considered a network of separate regions connected by teleportation when they planned to introduce Baldur’s Gate, and then decided to have one large, connected location in the game instead. Moreover, its tour will not be interrupted by the appearance of loading screens.
