President Joe Biden has not yet commented publicly on the ongoing proceedings against Donald Trump. However, after his conviction yesterday, he expressed his opinion on the procedures and their results.
We have reaffirmed the fundamental American ideal that no one is above the law. Donald Trump has been given every opportunity to defend himself. This was a state issue, not a federal issue. It was decided by a jury of 12 people, 12 Americans, and 12 people like you, like the millions of Americans who were on the juries.
– said the president.
he added: During the proceedings, the jury unanimously decided that Trump was guilty of all 34 counts against him, and the trial lasted for five weeks.
It is irresponsible, dangerous and uncaring to say that the proceedings were a failure simply because you do not like the referee. Our justice system has been around for 250 years and is literally the cornerstone of America. We must respect the judicial system and not allow anyone to destroy it. It's that simple. This is America. “These are us”
The President expressed his opinion.
The New York Times wrote: Biden has not spoken about the operation yet because he does not want to fuel rumors and accusations that the White House ordered the operation against Trump.
The former communications director for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton said in the newspaper: In his opinion, Biden's measured position will never convince Trump's followers that the ruling is fair. This would not be the case even if Biden were a completely politically neutral figure and not Donald Trump's greatest opponent.
