At the beginning of May, the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) and the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Office (RAKTDA) took a revolutionary step in the field of sustainable tourism and transportation: they signed a memorandum of understanding on developing the necessary infrastructure for electric air taxi services. The vehicles are expected to enter commercial traffic as early as 2027, enabling tourists to reach Al Marjan Island, Al Hamra and Jebel Jais, the highest peak in the UAE, with a fast, comfortable and environmentally friendly transportation option.
