Officially, Donald Trump held a rally on his economic policy in North Carolina on Wednesday, but despite his allies and advisers urging him to talk about how his plans differ from Democrat Kamala Harris’s rather than making personal attacks, he essentially insulted Democrats. Trump turns out to think Harris is crazy, incumbent President Joe Biden is stupid, and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz is a buffoon, the Post wrote. NBC.
It was only Trump’s second rally in the past two weeks in a campaign that has slowed somewhat, but he had to do well in North Carolina, where Democrats have a strong chance of winning the traditionally Republican state this year. By comparison, the former president said he didn’t think the economy was the most important issue, and while he talked about lowering prices, specifically cutting energy prices in half, he focused more on pressure.
According to Kamala Harris, who officially became a presidential candidate on August 2 after Joe Biden dropped out, he “just stormed in for four years while burning the economy” and she thinks Harris is crazy. He added that although the Democratic presidential candidate says he will fix inflation on day one, because his first day was three and a half years ago, he has done nothing. According to him, if Harris wins, it will cause an economic crisis similar to the one in 1929 — something he also said to Biden four years ago.
Additionally, Trump mocked Joe Biden and Tim Walz in his speech, and attacked Biden's initiatives that use renewable energy, such as solar and wind power.
Harris will come to the state on Friday to share his views on the economy, and although current polls show voters trust Trump more on these issues, the Democratic candidate currently leads Trump in Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and in Georgia they are going head-to-head.
