Canada – Slovakia 6-3
In Prague, Canada beat Slovakia in an exciting match: the outside team took a 2-0 lead in the fifth minute, but the Slovaks quickly made up for it. In the second half, the Canadians quickly restored the two-goal advantage with Nick Paul's first goal. In the third period, Canada actually took a 5-1 lead, but our neighbors to the north quickly made up for it again, and with three minutes left, Marek Hrevik scored twice with a man's foot to cut the deficit to two. In the final minutes, the Slovaks attacked without a goalkeeper, but one of the best players of the match, Nick Ball, lifted the ball from the halfway line into the empty Slovak goal for his third goal – it was a wonderful shot, the ball fell behind the goal line – and that led to the final score of 6- 3. Canada has reached the top four at the World Cup for the ninth consecutive time.

Switzerland – Germany 3-1
In the other afternoon match, last year's silver medalist Germany took on Switzerland, which had a man advantage in the 13th second, but was unable to capitalize on the early advantage. On the other hand, when the Helvetians found themselves short of manpower, they immediately advanced, and even after their additions, even scored in equal numbers. In the middle of the match, the Germans' performance improved and then they scored a goal, but they tried in vain to equalize, but they did not succeed. In the third half, the Germans tried to equalize for a long time, even bringing down their goalkeeper in the last two minutes, but with Christoph Bertschi's second goal – this time with an empty net – Switzerland won the match and six years later, they succeeded in achieving victory. He again reached the top four at the World Cup.
